Phased one-hour blocks will hit Samruddhi Expressway between Sinnar and Igatpuri. The dates are August 31 to September 7. MSRDC says lanes will shut to install CCTV gantries. The work is under the Intelligent Traffic Management System. Mumbai-bound traffic pauses noon to 1 pm; Nagpur-bound stops 3 pm to 4 pm. Plan trips around these windows.
Work will run in two phases to minimise disruption. Sinnar to Bharvir shuts on August 31, September 1 and 2. September 3 is a rest day. Bharvir to Igatpuri follows on September 4, 5 and 7. Blocks last up to an hour. Officials confirmed Mumbai-bound closures from noon to 1 pm, Nagpur-bound from 3 to 4 pm.
Samruddhi Expressway diversions, timings and safety tips
Use Sinnar or Bharvir exits to reach the Mumbai–Agra highway. That is National Highway 3 (NH-3), via Ghoti and old Kasara Ghat. Recent tunnel work diverted vehicles through Pimpri Sado on NH-3. The posted car speed limit on Samruddhi is 120 kmph. Monsoon slides sometimes slow the Kasara Ghat section. Plan crossings before noon, 1–3 pm, or after 4 pm.

Check daily updates from MSRDC and Nashik Rural Police before departure. Blocks can shift with safety drills or weather. An Igatpuri tunnel drill on August 27 briefly shut one lane for testing. Time long drives to clear the zone before 11.30 am or after 4 pm.
