Bengaluru Power Cut Today: Check If Your Locality Is on the Shutdown List

Bengaluru faces scheduled power cuts today, Sunday, August 30, due to grid maintenance. Maintenance by Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited is driving the shutdowns. Outages are planned in Whitefield–Kadugodi, Peenya–Yeshwanthpur and Malleshwaram divisions. Indicative windows are 10 am–4 pm, 10 am–1 pm, and 10 am–5 pm. Plan chores and travel accordingly.

Kadugodi substation work will affect key Whitefield arteries from 10 am to 4 pm. Expect disruptions on Whitefield Main Road, ECC Road, Inner Circle and Borewell Road. Saturday’s shutdown covered Rajanakunte feeders during 10 am to 4 pm. It signalled a weekend maintenance block across select northern belts.

Bengaluru power cut today: areas and timings

Use the quick table below to check today’s area-wise window and sample stretches. Teams often finish early, so supply may return before the outer limit. Fill water tanks and schedule lifts before 10 am in listed clusters.

BESCOM outage map and live verification

Before you step out, verify the status on the BESCOM Mithra mobile app. It lists scheduled and unscheduled outages, complaint tickets and restoration estimates. You can also call 1912 or track requests on the consumer dashboard. For grid work context, check KPTCL’s SLDC dashboard and a live crowd map. Treat third‑party maps as guides, not official restoration clocks.

Restoration ETAs, complaints and safety precautions

If power exceeds the window, raise a ticket with your RR number in-app. Save the ticket ID and ask for an updated feeder-wise ETA. Switch off lifts near start and end times, and protect sensitive appliances. Charge phones and routers, top up water, and download files in advance.

Restoration is staggered feeder by feeder, so neighbouring lanes may light up first. Recheck at 12:30 pm for mid-course cancellations or extensions posted by teams. Today’s broad windows remain Whitefield–Kadugodi 10 am–4 pm, and Peenya 10 am–1 pm. Malleshwaram runs 10 am–5 pm, unless crews finish early.
