Locals say that once upon a time it served as a hideout for the thieves. Hence, the name 'Robber's Cave'. It is locally popular as Gucchupani, is a naturally formed river-cave. The artistically shaped rock walls in the lush green surroundings make it a perfect setup for a weekend trip.

Gucchupani is one treasured spot in the picturesque Doon Valley. The dark stretch of the cave with ice-cold water makes a perfect set up.

It is the umbrellas and chairs that grab your attention outside Robber's Cave. A feel of a pool-side restaurant will come into your head as you sit here, savouring Maggi and hot tea!

Don't you want to experience such a naturally romantic setup? Board a bus from Dehradun and head to Anarwala Village. A small distance from there will reach you to Robber's Cave.

Gucchupani is around 8km from Dehradun; it is a perfect spot for relaxation. The natural water spring that divides the cave is a wonder in itself. A small weathered old fort wall comes into picture for half-way, and the gushing water is scenic. Interestingly, no one knows from where this natural spring flows out. During the rainy season, the water is fierce and in summer, it is one of the cool spots!
