One of the major cities in Karnataka is the town of Hubli, often known as the twin city of Dharwad. It is a commercial hub with many industrial, automobile and educational hubs sprouting here.

Though there are not many places to visit in this town a trip to Hubli is always refreshing and educative. It is visited by few tourists, but those who come here are blown by its natural beauty and the organisation of the city.

Unkal Lake

The popular Unkal Lake is believed to be 110 years old. The major attraction at this lake is the idol of Swami Vivekananda, which stands at the middle of the lake.

Tourists coming here can indulge in various recreational activities or simply enjoy the beautiful view of the lake.

Bund Garden

The lush green Bund Gardens is located close to the Unkal Lake. It is the best place to head to with your family for a wonderful evening. Tourists coming here can walk through the garden and enjoy the fragrance of the many flowers that bloom here.

Gayatri Tapovan

The Gayatri Tapovan is known to hold various cultural and spiritual events. Established by Sri Kumar Swamiji, a spiritual preacher, the tapovan was where he preached about spirituality.

Nuggikeri Hanuman Temple

The Nuggikeri Hanuman Temple is dedicated to Lord Hanuman. It is one of the religious pilgrimage sites of the region, and many devotees come here to seek the blessing of the lord. Tourists coming here can marvel at the architecture of the temple and also know more about the life of Lord Hanuman.

How to Reach Hubli

By Air: Hubli Airport is the nearest airport connecting Hubli with major Indian cities.

By Train: Hubli Railway Station is well-connected to major cities of India, such as Mangalore and Bangalore, to name a few.

By Road: Hubli is well-connected to Mangalore, Pune, Mysore, Bangalore, Goa and Mumbai through bus service. Volvo buses, private buses and state owned NWKRTC (North West Karnataka Road Transport Corporation) buses regularly ply from these places to Hubli.
