Many of us would have come across Pune as a city which is surrounded with educational institutions, heritage structures or as a place people go to for an adventure. Well for those who love nature, you have a number of beaches whose shores have innumerable stories to narrate to every visitor. Bound by a charisma, the beaches make their appearance in hues of blue, white, green and various other shades.
The extravagant shores here are filled with tall trees which remain evergreen along with the perfect combination of blue waters and white sandy shores. This creates a total romantic atmosphere and calls each one of us to explore the vast shores, which open up like a blank book that needs to be filled with memories.
Murud Beach

Located on the shores of the Arabian Sea, the Murud Beach shore is filled with black sand and clear blue waters with a shoreline stretching up to 1.75 km. The beach offers beautiful sunsets along with island forts of Janjira and Padmadurg, which further add to the charm of the place. One can also try their hands on water sports and boat trips through the sea which attracts a large number of visitors to the sandy shores.
Ganpatipule

Leaving aside the calm and composed village of Ganpatipule, the hamlet is home to the vast beach which is located on the Konkan coast. The shore is home to a large variety of cuisines and some amazing landscape. At the beach, one would come across a temple dedicated to Lord Ganesha which makes it one of the best beaches to be found in the country.
Harnai Beach

One of the lesser-explored beaches in the state of Maharashtra and from Pune, the Harnai Beach takes you closer to the virgin beauty of Mother Nature which gives you an experience that would rejuvenate you with its placidness. An ideal location which leaves you spellbound by its natural beauty and gives you an urge to visit more beaches around the state.
Kunkeshwar

Fondly called the Kashi of West India, Kunkeshwar is well known for its beach as well as for the temple on the shore. The place has a perfect combination of spirituality with an element of fun, which is the beach. The white sands of the beach adds on further to the beauty of the place and is an ideal choice for a one-day getaway from the city of Pune.
Dapoli

One of the longest beaches in the entire Konkan coast, the coast is divided into multiple beaches on a single coastline which starts from Dapoli and stretches itself through Karde and Ladghar, all the way up to Kelshi. Most of the beaches are interconnected with each other but one can also come across creeks in between them.
For the adventurous lot out there, you can take a bike ride over the rocky stretches to reach the beach. The most popular one here is the stretch from Murud Harnai to Ladghar, which is a flat beach filled with fine white sand underneath fine black sand.
