Rather than being a religious festival, Hampi Utsav is a commemoration of cultural traditions and an event to remember the past. As a result, there is no set calendar date for its celebration. Three days are devoted to this extravagant festival.
However, because it is a state-sponsored cultural event, the festival is organised during the period that the Karnataka government considers to be most appropriate. According to reports, this year the three-day Hampi Utsav 2023 festival's final dates are from 27th January to 29th January 2023.
