Located in the Barwani district of Madhya Pradesh at a distance of around 6 km from Narmada river amidst the green hills of Satpura Range, Bawangaja Temple is dedicated to Lord Rishabhadeva, the first tirthankara of Jainism and is believed to be built during the 12th century.

It is a large complex of 11 temples which are scattered all around the site.
