Situated at an elevation of 1,500 mt above sea level this secluded town is certainly a place to go to for relaxing and rejuvenating yourself.
There are not many tourist places to visit in Ziro and that in itself makes this scenic place lesser known. But those who have travelled here will certainly vouch for the beauty and calmness that the town emotes.
It is a perfect weekend getaway for those staying nearby as they can go trekking and also visit the wildlife sanctuary here.
Sidheswar Nath Temple
A tourist places in Ziro is the Sidheswar Nath Temple, which is famous for the Shivaling here. It is 25 ft high and 22 ft wide and is said to have appeared here on its own during the month of Shravana, which is a holy month for the Hindu's.
Devotees come here and pay their respects to the god. It is believed that this Shivaling has magical powers as it appeared by itself. Tourists come here to see this Shivling and also enjoy the scenic surroundings.

The Talley Valley is famous for its trekking route. Trekkers from various parts of the country come here to enjoy the beauty of nature and to trek amongst the dense forest here.
There is also a wildlife sanctuary here which protects the wildlife from poachers. Wildlife enthusiasts come here to see the clouded leopard, which is a rare species of leopard.

By Train: The Itanagar Railway Station is the closest station to Ziro, located at a distance of 115 km. It is well-connected to cities like Guwahati, Kolkata and Bhopal.
By Road: There are many buses which you can avail to reach here. Also you can hire cars or jeeps to reach here.
