Jaganmohan Palace
The Jaganmohan Palace is one of the oldest buildings in Mysore. This was where the royal family of Mysore resided until the palace caught fire in 1897 and the palace was rebuilt.
Jayalakshmi Vilas Mansion
The palace is one of the beautiful structures of Mysore and is bordered by lush green gardens of the Mysore University. The elegantly carved doors and windows are any interior decorator's dream come true. Don't forget to check out the artefacts displayed in the mansion.

Mysore Zoo
Earlier this zoo was not open to the public as it was constructed by Maharaja Chamaraja Wodeyar, who was the King of Mysore. It was opened to public much later and is termed as one of the best zoological gardens in India. It is home to some rare species of reptiles, mammals and birds too.
