1. Beach Hopping
Goa is known as the land of beaches; hence, beaches are the major attractions here. The place has quite a number of beaches in its kitty, some are extremely popular, whereas some are lesser known to many. For those who love the sea, jump into its waters and take a swim. Grab some seashells which you can take home as souvenirs and wind up the day by catching the sight of the setting sun.

2. Church Exploration
Goa is home to a large number of ancient churches, one amongst them is the Church Of Bom Jesus dedicated to St Francis Xavier who is considered as one of the patron saints of Goa. The church is also listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, there are many churches which are known for its architectural and historical values. The Se Cathedral here is considered as one of the largest churches in Asia, along with the Church of St Francis of Assisi which dates back to the 16th century.

3. Visit The Latin Quarters
Apart from being the abode to beaches, Goa has a rich culture and history to explore. The Fontainhas are the old Latin Quarters of Goa; a visit to them would for sure take you back to the times of the Portuguese which is very evident in these tiny by lanes which exhibit some gorgeous bungalows in the hues of blue and yellow, which truly are a sight!.

4. Fort Exploration
One can find quite a number of forts here which are worth visiting. One of the most popular forts here is the Fort Aguada which was constructed in the year 1612 to prevent the attacks by the Marathas and Dutch rules. The fort complex also has a lighthouse, which was built in 1864, and is yet another major draw here. The fortification became extremely popular after it was featured in the Bollywood movie Dil Chahta Hai.

5. Trekking Trails
Goa, offers plenty of trekking trials for those would love to get a closer connection with Mother Nature. One of the most popular trekking trials is through the woods of the Mollem National Park around the Dudhsagar Falls and another one is the trek to the Krishnapur Canyon via the Bhagawan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary.
