1. Ramoji Film City

The sprawling campus of the Ramoji Film City, the location of many film shoots can keep you and your family well entertained for an entire day! The vast landscape with its beautiful gardens, sets, play areas and amusements is a delight for the children, as they run about, never seeming to get tired. If you are travelling with very young children, carrying along a pram is recommended to navigate the sprawling campus. Watch happily as the various amusements provide your children with fun and learning. Take a break at the many options of restaurants available, maybe you can pretend to board a train and eat at the themed restaurant, the kids are sure to love it!

2. Nehru Zoological Park

Children always enjoy watching animals and birds and taking them to the zoo is a great way of teaching them about nature and wildlife. Take your kids to the Nehru Zoological Park that spans an area of over 300 acres and houses many animals and birds. You can observe animals such as the Indian rhino, Asiatic lion, Panther, Spotted Deer, etc. The zoo is closed on Mondays and is a great weekend outing. the zoo organises safaris, feeding sessions and training camps. It has a toy train ride for children and the adjacent attraction of boating at the Mir Alam Tank.

3. Rock Walks

Like most parents, you might worry about how much time your children spend watching TV! This weekend make sure you take them to the outdoors. Make a trip to the Rock Walks on the outskirts of the city for some quality time spent appreciating nature while also having fun. The beautiful arts and crafts village located in Madhapur in Hyderabad is a great idea for a weekend outing with children. The place was originally created for the preservation of traditional arts an crafts. Today, it is a popular tourist attraction. Children especially will love its make-believe ambience and various other activities such as boating in the lake and observing the lovely Rock Garden. The campus also has food stall to cater to the little one's hunger pangs!
