The Tansa Lake is a stunning lake close to the Tansa Wildlife Sanctuary. The water in this lake is calm and placid, and is a major source of water supply to the metro city of Mumbai. The lake has a storage capacity of 3 million gallons of water, of which it supplies Mumbai with a couple of thousand gallons daily with the help of special pipelines that connect it to the city.
