Bhiwandi, Thane

The village of Bhiwandi is a prominent tourist attraction offered in the Thane District. It is situated 15 km away from the main city of Thane and lies on the Mumbai–Agra highway. This spot is famous for its various textile industries and exotic products like carpets, silk fabric and handlooms.

Located in the coastal lowlands of Konkan, Bhiwandi is surrounded on all sides by lofty hills and is home to the Vharala Devi Lake, plenty of hot water springs and an ancient temple that is at least eight hundred years old.
