Suchindram Weather

The best time to visit Suchindram is from November to February. This is the winter time in Suchindram, and though the sun does shine bright but it is no longer hot. Instead, sightseeing and traveling are very comfortable because of the warmth of the sun. However, tourists are advised to carry light jackets and shawls with them.

Summer

Summer in Suchindram starts in the month of March and continues till end May. The temperature vacillates between 30-35 degrees Celsius. The humidity level during the summer season is very high. Late mornings and afternoons tend to become hot but early mornings and late evenings are pleasant with a cool breeze coming from the sea.

Monsoon

Suchindram experiences heavy rainfall during the months of June, July, August and September. The rains may be accompanied by thunderstorms. The temperature falls down to about 22 degrees Celsius but the level of humidity increases. However, the heavy rains throw life out of gear for the local population and tourists also avoid the town in the rainy season.

Winter

Suchindram does not experience chilly winters, unlike the northern India. The winter months are typically December, January and February. The minimum temperature is around 19 degrees Celsius, and the maximum temperature does not go beyond 22 degrees Celsius. The afternoons are pleasant, but it can become cool during evenings and at night.
