Khoont, Ranikhet

Khoont, located at a distance of 30 km from Ranikhet, is a small and renowned village. The place is quite famous because the great freedom fighter; Govind Vallabh Pant was born here. He was an activist in the Indian independence movement and was honoured with the Bharat Ratna, the highest civilian award of India, in 1957.
