Panna Weather

The best months to visit Panna are definitely October, November, February, March, April and May. Even the Panna tiger reserve is left open for tourists during these months. The weather is quite pleasant making it easier to spot tigers and other animals. Travelling to Panna in these months is also very comfortable since it is neither too hot nor too cold.

Summer

Due to the influence of the sub-tropical climate summers in Panna are extremely hot and the maximum temperature soars as high as 45 degrees Celsius during the month of May. Summers typically begin in the region from mid-March and last until mid-June. Many lives are reportedly lost here around the time due to heat waves.

Monsoon

Monsoons start from mid-June and continue until the end of September. The region receives moderate to heavy rainfall with the months of July and August receiving the maximum rainfall. Rains throw life out of gear in the city as roads become clogged restricting the traffic movement. This definitely isn’t the time to visit Panna.

Winter

Winter begins end of November with December and January being the coldest months when the temperature may drop to zero degrees Celsius as well. Winter afternoons are pleasant but the nights can be harsh and cold so it is best to avoid Panna during the winter that lasts until the end of February.
