Sunday, August 23, shows heavier turnbacks and select cancellations, especially for MEMU and Bandra services. Expect delay bands of 20–55 minutes on several long-haul trains crossing South Gujarat. Plan extra buffers and prefer earlier departures from Mumbai or Ahmedabad if options exist.

For immediate alternates, look at GSRTC and MSRTC intercity buses along National Highway 48. Use official apps or helplines to check seats and timings before moving. If your train is fully cancelled, Indian Railways provides a full refund under the 2015 rules. For short terminations, file an online Ticket Deposit Receipt within 72 hours with on-train endorsement. Tickets on trains over three hours late can be refunded if cancelled before departure.
