Indian Railways is set to introduce two new weekly special trains to improve travel for passengers, connecting Anakapalle with Tirupati and Solapur in Maharashtra, helping people who often face difficulty in getting tickets. Moreover, a weekly special train with 17046 has already been started between Anakapalle and Charlapalli.

Weekly Special Trains
The Anakapalle-Tirupati special train is scheduled to begin service from May 8. This new train will be very useful for passengers travelling to Tirupati, especially pilgrims visiting the famous temple in Tirumala Temple.
Another important addition is the proposed weekly train from Anakapalle to Solapur. This train is expected to benefit not only people from the Anakapalle district but also passengers travelling from places including Hyderabad in Telangana and Kalaburagi in Karnataka.
How are these trains beneficial?
At present, many people from Anakapalle and nearby areas depend on existing trains like the Tirumala Express. However, these trains, especially those passing through or starting from Visakhapatnam, are usually overcrowded. Due to this, confirmed tickets have become very difficult for passengers. Understanding these problems, CM Ramesh, who is also the chairman of the Railway Standing Committee, requested railway officials and the minister to introduce a weekly train for the convenience of the public.
The introduction of these trains is also important because the Anakapalle district is seeing industrial growth, with new industries coming up and more projects planned in the future. Therefore, better train connectivity will support workers, business travellers, and residents.
