As temperatures soar across the country, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted rainfall in various regions, offering a welcome reprieve from the scorching heat. According to IMD, there's a likelihood of rain accompanied by lightning and thunder in North-West India from April 26 to 28. Additionally, IMD has issued alerts for Punjab, Haryana, and Madhya Pradesh, anticipating rainfall in these states until April 26 and 27, along with the possibility of storms, lightning, and strong winds.

North-East India Braces for Heavy Rainfall
IMD's projections indicate that heatwave to severe heatwave conditions may persist over eastern and southern peninsular India for the next five days. Meanwhile, rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning is anticipated in the western Himalayan region from April 26 to 29, as well as in the plains of northwest India from April 26 to 28. Notably, heavy rain is expected in North East India from April 28 to 30.
Weather Outlook for Uttar Pradesh and Bihar
Despite the rainfall predictions, many parts of the country are unlikely to see relief from the severe heatwave conditions over the next three to four days. IMD warns of possible severe heatwaves in most places of Gangetic West Bengal and certain areas of Odisha on April 28. Additionally, heatwave conditions are expected in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Konkan and Goa, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, Rayalaseema, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal, Kerala, Mahe, and Interior Karnataka from April 27 to May 3.

IMD's forecasts also suggest a likelihood of rain with thunder and lightning in the Western Himalayan region from April 26 to 29, in the plains of North-West India from April 26 to 28, and in Central India from April 26 to 27. Strong winds may also accompany these weather conditions during the mentioned period.
While rainfall offers relief from the scorching temperatures in certain regions, other areas continue to grapple with severe heatwave conditions. It's crucial for residents to stay updated with the latest weather forecasts and take necessary precautions to mitigate the impact of extreme weather events.
