Visakhapatnam to Get India’s Longest Glass Skywalk Bridge With zip-lines, sky-cycling tracks

Visakhapatnam is all set to welcome a stunning new attraction—India's longest cantilever glass skywalk bridge. This breathtaking structure will span 50 meters and be located near the Titanic Viewpoint at Kailasagiri. Offering stunning views of the sea and nearby hills, this bridge is designed to provide an unforgettable experience for tourists.

Visakhapatnam to Get Glass Bridge

The project is expected to cost around ₹6 crores and promises to boost adventure tourism in the region. The construction of the bridge is set to begin on November 18, marking a new chapter in Visakhapatnam's journey as a top tourist destination.

A Collaborative Effort

This ambitious project is being developed under a public-private partnership (PPP). The Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Region Development Authority (VMRDA) has joined hands with RJ Adventures, a partnership of SSM Shipping & Logistics and Bharat Mata Ventures Private Limited, to make this vision a reality.

The bridge will be strong enough to hold up to 40 people at a time, ensuring both safety and excitement for visitors. Jomy Poonoly, Managing Director of Bharat Mata Ventures, highlighted that this bridge will not only offer breathtaking views but will also position Visakhapatnam as a major hub for adventure tourism.

Enhancing Adventure Tourism

The glass bridge is not the only exciting development at Kailasagiri. The project also includes two-way zip-lines and sky-cycling tracks, each stretching 150 meters in length. These thrilling attractions, developed at an additional cost of ₹2 crores, are ready and awaiting final approval from VMRDA before their grand opening.

These adventure activities aim to complement the glass bridge, creating an all-around exciting destination for tourists. Together, these attractions will enhance Kailasagiri's reputation as a prime location for adventure enthusiasts.

A Landmark for Visakhapatnam

The glass skywalk bridge at Kailasagiri will surpass the Vagamon Glass Bridge in Kerala, which currently holds the title of India's longest cantilever glass bridge at 40 meters. Once completed, this new bridge will not only showcase Kailasagiri's stunning landscapes but also boost Visakhapatnam's tourism industry.

This glass skywalk bridge and its accompanying attractions represent a huge leap forward for Visakhapatnam's tourism. Combining innovative design, thrilling experiences, and panoramic views, these developments are set to make the city a must-visit destination for adventure lovers from across the globe.
