What The Visa Fee Hike Means for Students, Workers and Visitors

This hike implies that an additional charge of GBP 127 (approximately Rs 12,750) will have to be borne by applicants applying for a student visa. Additionally, there will also be an increase in the fee for visit visas lasting less than six months by GBP 15 (Rs. 1,500).

The UK Home Office provides further clarification on the revised rates. According to their official statement, the cost of a visit visa for up to six months will now cost GBP 115 (around Rs. 11,500), while the fee for requesting a student visa outside the UK will surge to GBP 490 (approximately Rs 50,000).
