Hey Explorers! I have got amazing for you all. Now you all have a new destination to explore in Uttarakhand, Jadung, which is the very first village from the Tibetan border to be announced a tourist destination that you can't stop loving!
The Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board (UTDB) has named Jadung as the state's newest tourism destination, offering a variety of activities like bird watching, trekking, and hiking in addition to nature camps. By experiencing tribal culture & traditional architecture, tourists can fully immerse themselves in the indigenous way of life.
Jadung is now the first of the five villages to undergo rehabilitation. It will also be developed into a sustainable tourism destination for hiking, trekking, Astro tourism, and other activities. According to sources, the majority of Jadung's residents were relocated as a result of the Indo-China War.
This programme aims to promote sustainable tourism throughout Uttarakhand, lessen the crowd at famous tourist attractions, and highlight the state's natural beauty & rich cultural legacy along with a clear aim to increase tourism across Uttarakhand, the untouched land of India.
Participation by UTDB in this effort would promote eco-friendly tourism strategies in the area and promote the preservation of the indigenous ecology, culture, and community.
About Jadung:
At a height of roughly 3800 metres, Jadung offers a magnificent view and is situated approx. 50 km from Harsil. Jadung is the first village at the Indo-Tibetan border and is a community that has been long hidden in the beauty and remained untouched. Now, close your eyes and imagine, the Himalayas, snow-covered mountains, and forests, you have never seen from this angle.
Visitors have the chance to see the Himalayas' natural beauty and Uttarakhand's ancient culture when they travel to Jadung. Jadung is a major destination for special interest tourism in addition to its stunning surroundings. It is surely a paradise for Astronomy enthusiasts having no light pollution which leads to a marvelous star gazing experience.
