Vande Bharat Express Expansions

DRMs of North Eastern Railways (NER) and Northern Railways (NR) shared insights during a Sunday press briefing. The Gorakhpur-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express (22549) is to be virtually flagged off by the Prime Minister, now extending its route to Prayagraj. The Patna-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express (22345) will also include a stop at the redeveloped Gomti Nagar railway station.

Enhanced Connectivity and Timings:

The extended Gorakhpur-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express will reach Gomti Nagar railway station at 2:30 pm, departing from Patna at 6:05 am. Operating six days a week, it promises improved connectivity between key cities. On its return journey, the train will leave Gomti Nagar railway station at 3:20 pm and reach Patna by 11:45 pm.

Expansion of Vande Bharat Network:

PM Modi is slated to launch two new Vande Bharat Express trains - the Lucknow-Dehradun and Varanasi-Ranchi routes. This expansion reflects the government's commitment to modernizing rail travel and connecting diverse regions.

Key Infrastructure Developments:

Alongside the Vande Bharat expansions, various projects will be inaugurated virtually. This includes the doubling of railway tracks at five block sections, 23 one-station-one-product stalls, five good sheds, and the introduction of two train coach restaurants in Varanasi and Lucknow. Additionally, a ₹105 crore coaching complex at Ayodhya Cantt adds to the region's railway infrastructure.

Gati Shakti Terminals and OPOP Stalls:

PM Modi is expected to unveil projects worth several crores, including Gati Shakti terminals and OPOP stalls, aligning with the government's vision for enhanced connectivity, efficiency, and accessibility in the railway network.

Rail Coach Restaurant at Alamnagar Station:

Building on the success of rail coach restaurants outside Charbagh and Gomti Nagar stations, the railways will soon open another at Alamnagar station. This initiative aims to cater to passengers' needs, providing 24X7 access to food services.

As Uttar Pradesh embraces these railway advancements, the projects symbolize a leap forward in the state's connectivity. PM Modi's virtual inauguration marks a promising step towards the modernization and expansion of Uttar Pradesh's railway infrastructure, offering residents and travelers improved services, enhanced routes, and a more efficient railway network.
