Trains to be Affected

According to notifications issued by Southern Railway and Konkan Railway, Train No. 56616 Mangaluru Central-Madgaon Passenger will be short-terminated at Karwar on June 18. This means the train will not run between Karwar and Madgaon on that day.

Similarly, its return service, Train No. 56615 Madgaon-Mangaluru Central Passenger, will start its journey from Karwar instead of Madgaon on June 18. The train will depart Karwar at its scheduled time of 3:24 pm. As a result, both passenger services will remain partially cancelled between Karwar and Madgaon on June 18.

In addition, the departure timing of Train No. 56615 Madgaon-Mangaluru Central Passenger will be changed on June 19 and June 21. Instead of leaving Madgaon at 2:15 pm, the train will depart at 3:45 pm on both days.

Some long-distance trains will also face delays. Train No. 22149 Ernakulam Junction-Pune Junction Bi-Weekly Superfast Express, running on June 19, will be regulated by 2 hours and 20 minutes during its journey. Likewise, Train No. 22150 Pune Junction-Ernakulam Junction Bi-Weekly Superfast Express, running on June 20, will also be delayed by 2 hours and 20 minutes.

Meanwhile, Train No. 12134 Mangaluru Junction-Mumbai CSMT Express will continue to be short-terminated at Thane until July 7. The train will not travel up to Mumbai CSMT during this period.

Advisory for Passengers

Railway officials said the extension of the short-termination has been decided by Central Railway to support the ongoing platform extension work at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT). Passengers are advised to check the latest train schedules before travelling and plan their journeys accordingly, as maintenance and infrastructure works may affect train operations on these routes.
