Train services on Bengaluru's Namma Metro Yellow Line were briefly disrupted on Wednesday morning, November 12, 2025, due to a technical issue in one of the trains, the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) said. This was the fourth such issue since the Yellow Line began operations in August.

Reason Behind the Delay
Officials said the snag caused delays and inconvenience for passengers during the busy morning hours. BMRCL teams were quickly sent to fix the issue, and the problem was resolved by 8:47 a.m. The corporation later confirmed that all trains were back in service and running as per schedule. A senior BMRCL official explained that the disruption occurred because of a fault in the signalling system, which temporarily affected train movement. The technical team identified and corrected the issue quickly, restoring normal service.
Commuters' Expressed Disappointment
Commuters shared their experiences during the delay. Aparna R., who travels from BTM Layout to Electronics City, said her train stopped between stations for about 15 minutes. She mentioned that many passengers felt anxious as there were no immediate announcements. She added that since such snags are becoming frequent, BMRCL should communicate more clearly and work to prevent future problems.
The Yellow Line, which connects R.V. Road to Bommasandra over an 18.82-km stretch, is one of Bengaluru's important metro routes, serving thousands of daily commuters. This was the fourth technical issue on the line since its commercial launch on August 11, a day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated it. Earlier disruptions were reported on September 22, October 12, and October 16. BMRCL officials said that the recent problems were minor and not serious, assuring that the system is safe and reliable for passengers.
