Procession Details

The route spans 16 km through Ahmedabad, passing through several localities, including some communally sensitive areas such as Kalupur, Prem Darwaja, Delhi Chakla, Shahpur Darwaza, and Dariyapur.

Key elements of the procession include:
- The chariots of Lord Jagannath, his brother Balbhadra, and sister Subhadra will be pulled by members of the Khalashi community, following a long-standing tradition.
- The procession features 18 decorated elephants, 100 trucks, and 30 akhadas (local gymnasiums).
The sacred procession covers a 14-kilometer route through the city, attracting lakhs of people who gather along the route to catch a glimpse of the deities during this auspicious event.
