Surat–Udaipur Vande Bharat Express: New Premium Train Launch, Timings, and Route Details

The Railway Board has cleared Surat–Udaipur Vande Bharat, Surat’s first premium service. A letter dated August 31 approves train numbers 26903 and 26904. The service will run six days a week with an eight‑coach rake. Launch is targeted before Shardiya Navratri to tap festive travel. The corridor links South Gujarat, Ahmedabad and Udaipur with faster timings and better connectivity.

Provisional timings show a morning departure and late evening return. Train 26903 leaves Surat at 6:10 am and reaches Udaipur at 1:40 pm. Train 26904 departs Udaipur at 3:35 pm, reaching Surat at 11:00 pm. The run is about seven hours thirty minutes with nine commercial halts. Within Ahmedabad, the train will call at Maninagar and Asarva to widen access.

Surat–Udaipur Vande Bharat bookings, fares and impact

Tickets will appear on IRCTC once the timetable enters the reservation system. The Board has told zones to introduce from the Advance Reservation Period or a no‑booking date, and it may begin with an inaugural special. Watch for train numbers 26903 and 26904 to surface ahead of Navratri from October 11, 2026.

The Udaipur–Asarva Vande Bharat will be withdrawn as the Surat–Udaipur service starts, effectively extending Udaipur’s premium link to Bharuch, Vadodara and Surat. Expect chair car fares around ₹1,400–₹1,800 and executive class ₹2,600–₹3,200, based on current Vande Bharat structures and Mumbai–Ahmedabad benchmarks. Final fares can vary with distance, catering and dynamic pricing.
