Summer Special Trains: Northern Railways has Announced Special Services to Handle the Heavy Passenger Rush

Due to the heavy rush of passengers during the summer vacation season, Northern Railway has announced several special reserved trains between Delhi and major destinations, including Darbhanga in Bihar and Howrah in West Bengal. These trains are being introduced to handle the extra crowd and make travel easier for passengers.

Summer Special Trains & Important Stoppages

The New Delhi-Darbhanga Special train numbers 04464 and 04463 will run only once. Train number 04464 will leave New Delhi at 11:00 am on May 29 and reach Darbhanga Junction at 1:30 pm the next day. The return train, 04463, will depart from Darbhanga at 4:30 pm on May 30 and arrive in New Delhi at 5:15 pm the following day.
This train will stop at several important stations, including Tundla, Govindpuri, Prayagraj, Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Junction, Buxar, Ara, Patna, Bakhtiyarpur, Mokama, Barauni, and Samastipur.

Northern Railway has also announced two special trains between New Delhi and Howrah. Train numbers 04048 and 04047 will run between May 28 and May 30, while another pair, 04050 and 04049, will operate between May 30 and June 1. These trains will stop at important stations, including Ghaziabad, Aligarh, Prayagraj, Mirzapur, Patna, Jhajha, Jasidih, Asansol, Durgapur, and Bardhaman.

Train Features

Railway officials said the special trains will include AC, sleeper, and general coaches so that passengers from all categories can travel comfortably. Northern Railway Chief Public Relations Officer Himanshu Shekhar Upadhyay said the trains are being operated especially for the convenience of passengers during the busy travel season.

Advisory for Passengers

Railway authorities have advised passengers to book tickets early because these trains will run for only a limited number of trips. Passengers can check train schedules and updates through the official National Train Enquiry System or by calling the railway helpline number 139.
