Tangedco has announced a scheduled power shutdown in various parts of Trichy city on Thursday, September 17. The power cut will occur to facilitate important maintenance work at the Thennur and Varaganeri substations, ensuring a smooth electricity supply in the future. The shutdown is planned between 9:45 am and 4:00
pm. Residents are advised to make arrangements in advance, such as charging their electronic devices, storing drinking water, and planning household activities accordingly. The electricity board has also assured that the work will help prevent unexpected outages and improve service reliability across the city.

Mahalakshmi Nagar, Tharanallur, Alanganathapuram, Sekkadi Bazaar, AP Nagar, Viswas Nagar, Vasantha Nagar, Kalaignar Nagar, PS Nagar, Varaganeri, Annai Nagar, Malligaipuram, Duraisamipuram, Irudhayapuram, and Sangliyandapuram, Pensioner Street, Eda Street, Paruppukara Street, Thillai Nagar, Annamalai Nagar, Gandhipuram, Karur Bypass Road, Thennur High Road, Sastri Road, and Kooni Bazaar, Seshapuram, Rahumaniapuram, Vamadam, Natharsha Dargah, Big Bazaar Street, Jaffer Shah Street, West Boulevard Road, Kalla Street, Allimal Street, Sandhukadai, Sub Jail Road, Alwarthope, Periya Kammala Street, Chinna Kammala Street, Quaid-e-Millet Road, Old Goodshed, Gandhi Market, Thanjavur Road, Vellamandi, and Marakkadai.
