The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM) has announced that several parts of Bengaluru will face a power outage on Sunday, November 30. According to BESCOM, the Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL) will be carrying out urgent maintenance work, and because of this, electricity supply will be cut for

seven hours, from 10 AM to 5 PM. Residents have been advised to plan their activities to avoid inconvenience.
List of Affected Areas in Bangalore
BESCOM shared a list of areas that will be affected by the outage. These include Reliance Industries, Alisda, Jai Bharat Industries Area, Tata Akval, Karle, Raghavendra Layout, RNS Motor, Muneshwar Nagar, Vaishnavi Nakshatra Apartments, LT Karle, Muneshwar Nagar 1st Block, RTO Track Road, Platinum City Apartments, BFW, and NTRO. Power will be restored as soon as the maintenance work is completed.
Advisory For Residents
The electricity board also reminded people to stay safe while handling electrical appliances and to report any issues. For help during a power cut, residents can call the 24x7 BESCOM helpline at 1912. In its post on X (formerly Twitter), BESCOM stressed the importance of safety and urged people to be cautious.
Just a few days earlier, on November 27, several neighbourhoods such as Wilson Garden, Hombegowda Nagar, Sampangi Nagar, JC Road, Shantinagar, Richmond Circle, Residency Road, Sudhamanagar, KH Road, Double Road, Subbaiah Circle, Siddayya Road, and Lalbagh Road had also faced power cuts. Many residents reported discomfort due to the sudden outages.
BESCOM has assured the public that the ongoing maintenance work is necessary to improve the electricity supply and ensure better reliability in the future.
Moreover, Bengaluru may experience moderate to heavy rainfall in the coming days. This could lead to waterlogging and additional power interruptions in some areas.
