For March 6, 2026, the Sehri and Iftar timings differ across major cities in India. In New Delhi, Sehri is around 5:23 AM, while Iftar is expected at about 6:25 PM. In Mumbai, the Sehri time is around 5:41 AM, and Iftar is close to 6:42 PM. In Hyderabad, Sehri is around 5:22 AM, and Iftar is about 6:25 PM. Meanwhile, in Chennai, Sehri takes place at about 5:10 AM, and Iftar is around 6:18 PM.

Other cities also have slightly different timings. For example, in Bengaluru, Sehri is around 5:18-5:20 AM, and Iftar is around 6:26-6:27 PM. In Kolkata, Sehri takes place earlier at about 4:54 AM, and Iftar is around 5:32-5:35 PM because the sun sets earlier there. These small differences show how fasting schedules depend on geographical location.

Rituals to be Followed

Muslims begin their fast after completing Sehri before dawn. Throughout the day, they avoid eating, drinking, and other physical needs until sunset. The fast is then broken at Iftar, often starting with dates and water, followed by a meal with family and friends.

Ramadan 2026

Ramadan 2026 in India is expected to have started around February 19, depending on the sighting of the crescent moon. The holy month will continue for about 29 or 30 days, ending with the celebration of Eid al-Fitr.

Moreover, knowing the daily Sehri and Iftar timings helps people observe their fast properly and organise their daily routines during the sacred month of Ramadan.
