Union Minister for Tourism and Culture Gajendra Singh Shekhawat recently announced in the upper house that 57 tourism destinations have been selected for development under the revised Swadesh Darshan scheme, known as Swadesh Darshan 2.0. The government has allocated a total of Rs 644.00 crore to enhance tourism infrastructure and facilities in different states under this scheme.
