Migrant workers in Hyderabad often struggle to book train tickets due to the limited general coaches in superfast trains. The railways are introducing new Vande Metro services that will connect Hyderabad to Bihar, Assam, and Kerala to mitigate this issue. These trains will enhance connectivity to the eastern and southern

parts of the country, providing faster and more affordable travel options for people.
Vande Metro Train New Routes
In the first phase under South Central Railway, a Vande Metro train will run between Secunderabad and Muzaffarpur, covering important cities like Patna and Gaya, which will provide an equal number of general and sleeper class coaches, unlike regular long-distance trains. This cost-effective train will make travel easier for migrant workers and general passengers between Hyderabad and northern states, especially those who book tickets at the last minute. The first service, the Amrit Bharat Express, will run from Secunderabad to Muzaffarpur in Bihar with several major stoppage stations, including Kazipet, Bellampalli, Sirpur Kagaznagar, Balharshah, Nagpur, Raipur, Bilaspur, Jharsuguda, Rourkela, Hatia, Ranchi, Bokaro, Gaya, and Patna before reaching Muzaffarpur.
Benefits of Vande Bharat for Commuters
As Hyderabad has lesser direct train connectivity with Muzaffarpur, with only one weekly express available, the launch of the Amrit Bharat Express will fill this gap and is expected to benefit thousands of passengers. Moreover, the timing of the new service also matches the upcoming Bihar elections, which could increase travel demand.
Future Additions of Vande Bharat Train
Moreover, the railways are also working on plans to introduce more Vande Bharat metro services between Hyderabad and Santragachi, Cherlapalli and Guwahati, and Secunderabad and Thiruvananthapuram.
