The train will visit key spiritual and cultural sites in India and Nepal. Some of the main stops include Ayodhya, Sitamarhi, Janakpur, Varanasi (Kashi Vishwanath), and the famous Pashupatinath temple in Nepal. These locations hold significant religious and historical importance, making the tour a unique blend of spirituality and cultural discovery. After traveling by train to some of these places, tourists will also enjoy a road trip to Janakpur and a flight to Kathmandu.

Aimed at Promoting Domestic Tourism

The Bharat Gaurav train scheme, launched by the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), aims to promote tourism within India by offering themed train tours. This train tour is part of a larger initiative by the Indian Railways, started in the 2021-22 financial year, to highlight India's rich heritage. So far, the IRCTC has organized 291 train tours focused on different religious and cultural themes. These include tours based on Lord Rama, Lord Buddha, and Lord Mahavir, making it easier for tourists to explore places of spiritual significance.

The IRCTC offers comprehensive packages that include accommodation, sightseeing, and spiritual visits, making it convenient for travelers to enjoy the full experience without worrying about the details.

Strengthening Cultural Ties Between India and Nepal

This initiative not only promotes tourism but also strengthens the cultural and historical ties between India and Nepal. The Bharat-Nepal Yatra focuses on fostering a deeper connection between the two neighboring countries, both of which share a rich spiritual heritage.
