Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw is set to inaugurate two new train services on Wednesday, according to railway officials. One of the new services is the Amrit Bharat Express connecting Pune in Maharashtra with Danapur in Bihar. The second train will provide daily connectivity between Pune and Sainagar Shirdi.
Pune-Danapur Amrit Bharat Express
Officials stated that the Pune-Danapur Amrit Bharat Express will start its journey from Hadapsar railway station in Pune. The final timetable and detailed schedule of the train are expected to be announced shortly. The inauguration ceremony will be held at both Pune and Hadapsar railway stations. The event is also expected to be attended by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
The launch of the new train is expected to benefit several passengers travelling between Maharashtra and Bihar. The route is likely to serve migrant workers, students, business travellers, and families who frequently travel between the two states.
Amrit Bharat Trains
The Amrit Bharat Express is a modern train service introduced by Indian Railways to provide better travel facilities at an affordable cost. It offers several passenger-friendly features that are similar to those available on the popular Vande Bharat Express trains. These include improved coach design, better seating arrangements, enhanced passenger amenities, and modern safety features.
However, unlike the Vande Bharat Express, which is a fully air-conditioned train, the Amrit Bharat Express is a non-AC service. The train is designed mainly for ordinary passengers seeking comfortable long-distance travel at lower fares. It will consist of general-class and sleeper-class coaches, making it accessible to a wider section of travellers.

Railway officials believe the introduction of the Pune-Danapur Amrit Bharat Express and the Pune-Sainagar Shirdi daily train will improve connectivity and provide more travel options for passengers. The new services are also expected to reduce pressure on existing trains operating on these routes and offer a more convenient travel experience for thousands of commuters every day.
