Several parts of Chennai will experience a power outage on Saturday, November 22, as the Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation Limited (TANGEDCO) carries out its regular maintenance and repair work. The shutdown is expected to last between 5 and 8 hours and will affect nearly 30 locations across the

city. According to TANGEDCO, these scheduled cuts are necessary to upgrade infrastructure and improve the reliability of the electricity supply in the long run.
List of Areas to be Affected
In the Nungambakkam region, power will be turned off from 9 AM to 5 PM. Areas that will be affected include College Road, Nungambakkam Highway, Moores Road, K.N.K. Road, Wallace Garden (1st to 3rd Street), Rutland Gate (1st to 6th Street), Subbarao Avenue (1st to 3rd Street), Anderson Road, Haddos Road (1st and 2nd Street), Nawab Habibullah Avenue (1st and 2nd), and Bycrofty Garden Street.
Areas near Taramani will have a shorter outage, from 9 AM to 2 PM. This includes MGR Road, Santhiyappan Street, Kodandaraman Street, Perungudi, OMR, Kamarajar Nagar, Kurinji Nagar, Anna Salai, Nehru Nagar, Kottivakkam, Srinivasa Nagar, Jayendra Colony, Thiruvalluvar Street, Karpaga Vinayagar Street, Church Road, and CBI Colony.

Residents living in these areas are advised to prepare in advance to avoid inconvenience. People should fully charge their mobile phones and essential electronic devices before the outage begins. Keeping flashlights, candles, or emergency lights ready will be helpful. It is also recommended to avoid using high-power appliances once the electricity goes off.
