The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) and the Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL) have announced scheduled power outages in Bangalore and other parts of Karnataka on September 16, for 8 hours due to ongoing maintenance activities. BESCOM has outlined its second quarterly maintenance plan scheduled from 10 AM to

5 PM, which includes work on three transformers at the 66/11 kV Adugodi Substation. This work is expected to result in prolonged power cuts in several parts of the city. Moreover, BESCOM will be overhauling 11 kV breakers and servicing the On-Load Tap Changers (OLTC) of Transformers 2 and 3.
Bangalore's Areas to be Affected on September 16
5th Block Industrial Area, Koromangala (Blocks 3 to 7), Madiwala, Venkateshwara Layout, Chikkadugodi, Jogi Colony, Maruthinagara - Adugodi (7th & 8th Blocks, Adugodi Main Road), Bannerghatta Road, KHB Colony (3rd to 6th Blocks), MICO Layout, Bhuvanappa Layout, Cauvery Layout, Krishnanagar Industrial Layout, S.G. Palya, Madivala Santhe, Siddhartha Colony
On the other hand, KPTCL has also planned maintenance operations from September 15 to September 29, between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM daily, in the Hebbal areas.

Ballari Main Road, A Block, B Block, C Block, D Block, E Block, F Block, and G Block; Talakaveri Layout, Amruthahalli BGS Layout, Navya Nagar Block, Shabari Nagar, Byatarayanapura Jakkur Layout, GKVK Layout, Jakkur Plantation, Yosada Nagar Amruthahalli, Sampigehalli Agrahara Village, Jayasurya Layout, Vidhana Soudha Layout, Saibaba Layout, Telecom Layout, MCECHS Layout, Suryaodaya Nagar 2, Agrahara Layout, Kogilu Layout, Srinivaspura Jakkur VRL Road (Santhe Road), IAS Road, and Arkavathi Layout.
BESCOM has advised residents to charge their essential electronic devices in advance, store adequate water, and avoid scheduling critical tasks during the hours of disruption. KPTCL, which is responsible for power transmission across Karnataka, as well as the construction and maintenance of substations and transmission lines ranging from 66 kV to 400 kV, continues to upgrade and expand its infrastructure.
