BESCOM Unveils Urgent Power Cuts in Bengaluru Until November 23: Key Areas Affected

The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM) has announced that several parts of Bengaluru will face power cuts till November 23 due to urgent maintenance work. The company has requested people living in the affected areas to plan their schedules to avoid major inconvenience.

KPTCL's Maintenance Work

According to BESCOM's official statement, the Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL) will be carrying out emergency repair and maintenance work at the Soladevanahalli Sub-Station. Because of this, many areas under the N-9 Sub-division in the Jalahalli Division will experience a power shutdown every day from 10:30 am to 8:30 pm until November 23.

Areas To Face Power Outage Today

Power supply will be interrupted in Tarabanahalli, Hurulichikkanahalli, TB Cross, Hersanghatta, Bilijaji, Dwarakanagar, Chikkabanavara, Maruti Nagar, Ganapati Nagar, Shantinagar, Brothers Colony, Krishna College Road, Raghavendra Layout, Sasuveghatta, Bajajappa Layout, Shivakumar Swamiji Layout, Guddahalli, Dasenahalli, Thotagere Basavanna Temple area, Hosahalli Palya, CDPO vicinity, Danish Farm, KMF area, Animal Husbandry area, Guni Agrahar, Somesheetihalli, Ganigarahalli, Pipeline Road, and Kereguddahalli.

Additional Areas With Disrupted Power Supply

Power will also be affected in Hurulichikkanahalli (extended areas), KT Pur, IIHR, Ivarakondapur, Seetakempanahalli, Linganahalli, Madappanahalli, Kalenahalli Shivakote Village, Mavallipura, Kondashettyhalli, Kurubarahalli, Kurubarahalli Pakegowdanpalya, Raghavendra Dham, Bylakere, Acharya College Main Road, Achyut Nagar, Soladevanahalli, and nearby localities.

Advisory For Residents

Residents in these regions are advised to complete essential tasks such as charging phones, storing water, and planning household work before the scheduled outage. Since the shutdown will continue for multiple days, people may also need to adjust their routines accordingly. BESCOM has stated that the maintenance work is necessary to ensure a smoother and safer power supply in the future.
