Fly With These Two Airlines On A Single Ticket And Save More

Two major airlines in the United Arab Emirates, Etihad Airways & Emirates Airlines, have signed a partnership that allows passengers to fly on either airline with a single ticket.

In the Arabian Travel Market, Etihad Airways and Emirates signed an MoU that will broaden their interline cooperation.

As a result, passengers arriving in the country will have the option of landing in one emirate & departing from the other. There won't be any additional airfare fees for the service. With an Emirates ticket, a traveler can fly on numerous Etihad sectors, and vice versa.

Officials claim that the new agreement will increase tourism in the area and provide both airlines a chance to compete on a worldwide scale. The UAE anticipates that by 2027, tourism would account for $31.6 billion annually, or 5.4% of its GDP.

The agreement's rationale is to give visitors the chance to see as much of the United Arab Emirates as possible while also saving them time by avoiding the need to fly back through their original airport of arrival. Additionally, this gives tourists more freedom when it comes to flying schedules.

This new service will be made accessible on the Chinese and European routes as part of a trial. The facility would eventually be made available to all of the Etihad & Emirates sectors.

According to the new agreement, a traveler who takes an Emirates aircraft from China to Dubai can use that same ticket to fly back to China or Europe on an Etihad trip from Abu Dhabi. The traveller would avoid a fare increase and could save a significant sum of money because only one ticket was purchased, and that too in advance.

How it is beneficial for Indians:

Indian citizens travelling to Dubai from the United Kingdom can visit family and friends there before continuing their journey to India on the same ticket. Travel industry professionals claim that Indians working abroad would greatly benefit from the provision.

Prior to this collaboration, the two airlines inked an MoU in 2018 to increase aviation security both inside and outside of the Emirates.
