On June 20, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the much-awaited Vande Bharat Express connecting Bengaluru and Madurai. This new train is expected to meet the high demand for fast and comfortable travel between these two cities.

The Vande Bharat Express will depart from Madurai railway station at 5:15 AM and is scheduled to arrive at Bengaluru station at 1:15 PM. The return journey will see the train leaving from Bengaluru railway station at 1:45 PM. It will make stops at Salem Station at 5:00 PM and Trichy at 8:20 PM, finally reaching Madurai Junction at 10:25 PM.
As of now, the fare for the Madurai-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express has not been officially announced. However, typically, Vande Bharat trains that cover distances over 400 km charge around Rs 1,300 for AC seat cars and Rs 2,300 for executive seat cars.
