T. Uday Srinivas flagged off a new train service with number 17289 between Kakinada and Mysuru on Friday at Kakinada railway station, providing a direct connection between the two cities.

New Train from Kakinada
The train will depart from Kakinada at 9:00 am and is expected to reach Mysuru at 4:00 pm the next day. During its journey, it will pass through several important stations, including Rajamahendravaram, Tanuku, Bhimavaram, Gudivada, and Vijayawada. This route connects many towns and cities, making travel easier for people across the region.
How will this Train Benefit Passengers?
Speaking at the event, Uday Srinivas said that this new train service meets a long-standing demand of people in the Kakinada district. He explained that the direct connection to Mysuru will benefit many groups, including businesspersons, office workers, students, and pilgrims. The service is also expected to support the growth of trade, education, and tourism between the two regions.
Submission of Proposal
The MP also shared that he had requested this train service earlier by submitting proposals to Ashwini Vaishnaw. He thanked the minister for approving and starting the service. Members of the Godavari Districts Railway Passengers Association also expressed their appreciation. The association's president, Gatti Satyanarayana, and general secretary, D.N. Ramesh, thanked the MP, the railway minister, and railway officials for introducing the train quickly after their request.
