Indian Railways to Launch Cherlapalli–Kamakhya Amrit Bharat Express on March 13, Boosting Northeast Connection

Indian Railways is preparing to launch a new Amrit Bharat Express service between Cherlapalli in Telangana and Kamakhya in Assam on March 13. Nadu. Earlier, the city was already connected to Muzaffarpur by an Amrit Bharat service, and another train starting from Thiruvananthapuram was also inaugurated by Narendra Modi.

Cherlapalli-Kamakhya Amrit Bharat Express

According to railway officials, the new Cherlapalli-Kamakhya service will provide better travel options for passengers heading to the northeastern states. The train will stop at several important stations along the way, including Srikakulam Road, Vizianagaram Junction, Pendurti, Duvvada, Samalkot Junction, Rajahmundry, Tanuku, Bhimavaram Town, Gudivada, Vijayawada, Guntur, and Nalgonda in both directions.

Launch of Two Amrit Bharat Trains

On Tuesday, Indian Railways also announced the launch of two Amrit Bharat Express trains, one connecting Cherlapalli with Nagercoil and the other linking Cherlapalli with Kamakhya, a major pilgrimage destination in Assam.

Nagercoil-Cherlapalli Amrit Bharat Express

The inaugural run of the Nagercoil-Cherlapalli weekly Amrit Bharat Express (Train No. 06357) is scheduled for March 11. The train will depart from Nagercoil at 5:30 p.m. and reach Cherlapalli at 11:45 p.m. the next day. However, the regular schedule will be announced later. During its journey, the Nagercoil-Cherlapalli train will stop at several stations, including Miryalguda, Sattenapalli, Tenali, Bapatla, Chirala, Ongole, Nellore, Chennai Egmore, Tambaram, Chengalpattu, Thanjavur, Tiruchchirappalli, Madurai, Tirunelveli, and Valliyur.

The Cherlapalli-Kamakhya Amrit Bharat Express will run with sleeper and general second-class coaches. This new train will connect Telangana and Andhra Pradesh with Assam, serving as the gateway to the northeastern region. Officials said the service will provide a safe, comfortable, and affordable travel option for passengers travelling long distances to the Northeast.
