Travelers will be notified of any changes to their flight schedules through the contact details they provided. IndiGo encourages passengers to keep their contact information updated. "While we strive to maintain smooth operations, we advise planning ahead. Any adjustments to your flight will be communicated via your registered contact information, so please ensure it is current," the notice added.

Travel Suggestions

The airline also recommends that passengers verify their flight status prior to arriving at the airport and allow for additional travel time due to possible traffic jams and waterlogging. "Before you head to the airport, check your flight status on our website or app. Given the likelihood of waterlogging and slow traffic, please allow extra time for your journey," the notice advised.

Earlier on Wednesday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued alerts for heavy rainfall and thunderstorms in multiple Indian states, including Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. A red alert was specifically issued for districts such as Mumbai, Thane, Palghar, Raigad, and Ratnagiri, indicating severe rainfall periods along with winds gusting between 40-50 km/h, possibly reaching up to 60 km/h.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis reported that Mumbai received close to 300 mm of rain in the past 24 hours, leading to some disruptions. However, he mentioned that the water levels in the Mithi River are slowly subsiding.
