Several areas in and around the Mumbai Metropolitan Region will experience scheduled power outages on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, as the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) carries out routine maintenance and network-related works.
The planned shutdown is part of regular infrastructure maintenance aimed at improving the reliability and efficiency of the electricity distribution network. Consumers living in the affected localities are advised to plan their day accordingly and keep essential electronic devices charged before the scheduled outages.

Mumbai Power Cut Today: Area-wise Schedule
According to the maintenance schedule released by MSEDCL, the following areas are expected to witness temporary power interruptions:
Takenwari Division
- Time: 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM
- Sangam
- Shanglipora

- Time: 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM
- Thane Rural
Diva Division
- Time: 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM
- Diva
Kalwa Division
- Time: 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM

Why Is There a Power Cut Today?
The scheduled outages have been planned to facilitate routine maintenance and infrastructure improvement works across the electricity distribution network. Such shutdowns help utility officials inspect equipment, carry out repairs, strengthen feeders and improve the overall reliability of power supply, thereby reducing the chances of unplanned outages in the future.
Advisory for Consumers
Residents and businesses in the affected areas should complete important household and office tasks before the scheduled outage begins. It is also advisable to charge mobile phones, laptops, power banks and other essential devices in advance.
