Mumbai, July 1: Several areas in and around Mumbai will experience scheduled power interruptions on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, due to maintenance work being carried out by the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL). Consumers in parts of Umred Road Division and Thane Rural, Diva and Kalwa have been advised to plan their day accordingly.

Residents are encouraged to charge essential electronic devices in advance and make necessary arrangements, especially if they rely on uninterrupted power for work or household needs.

Why Is There a Power Cut?
The scheduled shutdown has been announced by MSEDCL to facilitate essential maintenance and power infrastructure works. Such planned outages help improve the reliability and safety of the electricity distribution network while reducing the risk of unexpected disruptions.
Advisory for Residents
Residents in the notified localities are advised to:
