Unlike the existing Vande Bharat trains, which mainly offer chair-car services for daytime journeys, the sleeper version has been specially designed for long-distance overnight travel. The Mumbai-Bengaluru route is one of the busiest intercity corridors, and the new train aims to provide passengers with a faster, smoother, and more comfortable travel experience.

The biggest highlight of the new First AC coach is its private cabin design. The coaches feature enclosed cabins that provide passengers with more privacy, less disturbance, and a quieter environment during long journeys. The interiors have been redesigned with soft colours, premium finishes and a cleaner layout, creating a spacious and comfortable atmosphere.

The coach also features ambient lighting, wood-inspired panels, modern wall finishes and improved space utilisation. These design elements give the train a premium look compared to traditional sleeper coaches. The improved lighting system is expected to create a relaxing environment, especially during overnight travel.

Passenger comfort has been given special attention in the new design. The First AC section includes better-designed berths, improved access to upper berths with easier steps, and enhanced interiors suitable for journeys lasting several hours.

The Vande Bharat Sleeper coaches are also expected to include modern facilities such as upgraded washrooms, digital passenger information displays, CCTV-based security systems, charging points, and improved LED lighting to provide a safer and more convenient journey for passengers.

The introduction of the Mumbai-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Sleeper is part of Indian Railways' efforts to modernise overnight train travel. With its combination of speed, comfort and premium interiors, the service is expected to offer passengers a new travel experience between two major metropolitan cities.
