To handle the heavy passenger rush during the summer season, Southern Railway has decided to extend the special train services between Mangaluru Central and Chennai Egmore. These trains are being continued to make travel easier and more comfortable for people, especially during peak travel time. The special train service will
improve connectivity in important regions, including coastal Karnataka, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu. It will also help reduce overcrowding in regular trains by providing an extra travel option for passengers.
Mangaluru-Chennai Special Train
Train number 06126, which runs from Mangaluru Central to Chennai Egmore, will operate from May 4 to June 8, 2026. This train will leave Mangaluru Central at 4:00 PM every Monday and reach Chennai Egmore at 10:55 AM the next day. In total, six trips will be made in this direction during this period.
Similarly, train number 06125 will run from Chennai Egmore to Mangaluru Central, offering return services for passengers. These trains will stop at several important stations along the route, making travel convenient for people from different cities and towns.
