The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light to moderate rainfall in several parts of Maharashtra on Tuesday. While many districts are likely to receive moderate showers, a yellow alert has also been issued for a few regions where heavy rainfall is expected.

Maharashtra Rain Alert on Tuesday
In the Konkan region, moderate rain is likely in Thane, Mumbai, Raigad, Ratnagiri, and Sindhudurg, while Palghar may receive light to moderate rainfall. In North Maharashtra, Dhule and Nandurbar are expected to witness light rain. Jalgaon, Ahilyanagar, and Nashik may experience light rain accompanied by thunderstorms. Moderate rainfall is also likely in the Nashik Ghatmatha region.
In West Maharashtra, light rain with thunderstorms is expected in Pune, Kolhapur, Satara, Solapur, and Sangli. The IMD has issued a yellow alert for Pune Ghatmatha, Satara Ghatmatha, and Kolhapur Ghatmatha, warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall in these hilly areas.
Across the Marathwada region, light rain is likely in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Jalna, and Beed. Districts such as Parbhani, Hingoli, Nanded, Latur, and Dharashiv may receive rain along with thunderstorms.
In Vidarbha, no specific weather forecast has been issued for Akola, Amravati, Buldhana, and Washim. However, a yellow alert has been sounded for Yavatmal, Wardha, Nagpur, Gondia, Gadchiroli, Chandrapur, and Bhandara, where light to moderate rain with thunderstorms is expected.
However, residents should remain careful while stepping out of their homes. They should either carry an umbrella or a raincoat while going out. They should avoid going out during heavy rainfall as well.
