To ensure safe and easy travel for people celebrating New Year's Eve, the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) and the Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) have announced extended metro and bus services across the city.

Late Metro Services
BMRCL will run metro services late into the night on the Purple, Green, and Yellow Lines. As per the announcement made on December 29, metro trains will operate beyond midnight on December 31, 2025, with the last services running in the early hours of January 1, 2026.
Purple Line Metro
On the Purple Line, the final train from Whitefield to Challaghatta will leave at 1.45 a.m., while trains from Challaghatta to Whitefield will run until 2 a.m. On the Green Line, services between Madavara and Silk Institute, in both directions, will continue until 2 a.m. On the Yellow Line, the last train from R.V. Road to Bommasandra will depart at 3.10 a.m., while trains from Bommasandra to R.V. Road will operate until 1.30 a.m.
At Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Station (Majestic), the last train will leave at 2.45 a.m. towards all directions on the Purple and Green Lines. To handle the expected rush, trains on the Purple and Green Lines will run every eight minutes, while Yellow Line services will operate every 15 minutes from 1.30 p.m. on December 31 until the end of extended hours.
Closure of M.G. Road Metro Station
Due to large crowds, the M.G. Road Metro Station will be closed for entry and exit from 10 p.m. on December 31. However, trains will stop at Trinity and Cubbon Park stations for passengers. Token sales at these stations will stop after 11 p.m., so passengers are advised to buy tickets early or use smart cards or QR tickets.
Special Midnight Buses
BMTC will also run special midnight buses from M.G. Road and Brigade Road between 11 p.m. and 2 a.m. These buses will connect many areas across Bengaluru, including Electronics City, Yelahanka, Kengeri, Banashankari, Koramangala, Whitefield areas, and more. Special buses will also run from major bus stations and junctions across the city to help people travel home safely after celebrations.
