A Step Towards Sustainability

The Solar Dome Museum isn't just a building; it's a symbol of Kolkata's commitment to renewable energy. Powered by 2,086 solar panels, the dome provides electricity for the museum and nearby streetlights. At 27 meters tall and 45 meters wide, this dome is an architectural marvel, showcasing how sustainability can shape the future.

An Interactive Learning Experience

Inside the museum, visitors will find 50 interactive exhibits that explore solar energy, wind power, and other sustainable technologies. The six immersive tunnels take you on a journey into themed worlds, with dynamic visuals created by 30 projectors. Adding to the excitement, six robots roam the museum, guiding guests and sharing valuable information.

Unique Features and Activities

The museum offers more than just exhibits. It features vision theatres that screen short films on renewable energy and future urban planning. Visitors can explore a Smart City Model, learn through a Digital Assembly Game, and experience what Kolkata might look like in the year 2100.

For families, there's a kids' zone with interactive quizzes and games, making the visit educational and fun for children. A café overlooking Eco Park and a gift shop add to the overall experience.

Accessibility for All

The museum ensures that everyone can enjoy its offerings with a spiral ramp and central lift connecting the three levels. A dedicated facility management team ensures smooth operations while maintaining the engaging atmosphere.

A Vision for the Future

Inaugurated by Kolkata Mayor Firhad Hakim, the museum is seen as a milestone in promoting awareness about renewable energy. It's a space designed to educate, inspire, and entertain, making it a must-visit for locals and tourists alike.

Whether you're curious about sustainability or simply looking for a unique experience, the Solar Dome Museum in Kolkata promises a glimpse into the future of energy. This innovative landmark is not just an attraction but a message of hope for a greener tomorrow.
